Hand Made Vintage Wedding Invitations

Here we go.....not my design,

but one a customer commissioned me to do.

Well, in no uncertain terms....this year, 2011. sees that Vintage is definitely 'in'. The client supplied the pictures and I did the designing, based on another envelope card I had done before.

The original design was to have cherubs on it, but after some thought the bride decided to shelve this idea in favour of her second choice, which was the above image.

If you intend to design your own cards it's always best to see a proof first...unless you are a designer, the ideas in your head don't always match the outcome. Personally I liked the cherubs best as I think that weddings deserve to have colour....however, it's not my wedding and not my choice and we designers have to keep quiet about these things :o)

The colour choice was a simple Black and White, the colour theme of the Wedding being introduced elsewhere in their wedding plans.

Their names and wedding date were added to the scroll on the back of the card. This card is designed to be simply folded, the flap attached with some double sided tape and sent through the post as is.....so there is no need for an envelope.
